Phone Dialer & Contacts Manager ("the app", "we") is a phone dialer and contacts app for Android, published by Punam M. This policy explains what the app accesses, why, and what leaves your device. The short version: the app has no account and no server. Your contacts and call history stay on your phone.
No account, no backend
The app does not require you to sign up or log in. There is no server behind it and no cloud database. We do not receive or store a copy of your contacts, your call log, your messages, or your calls.
What the app accesses on your device
To work as your phone app, the app reads and uses the following on your device only — this data is never transmitted to us or to anyone else:
- Contacts — to show caller names, place calls, and manage your phone book.
- Call log / call history — to show your recent calls and power the dialer.
- Phone & phone number — to make and receive calls, run the in-call screen,
identify the calling number (caller ID), and manage dual-SIM calling.
- Text messages (SMS) — only to send an optional quick reply to a call you
miss or decline (for example "Sorry, I missed your call"). The message is sent to that caller only, at your request; where the app doesn't send it directly, it opens your default messaging app with the text pre-filled so you can send it. The app does not read, receive, store, or upload your text messages.
- Bluetooth — to route call audio to a paired headset or car system and show
that device's name in the audio picker.
- Flash / camera torch — for the optional "flash on call" blink alert for
incoming calls. The app does not take photos or record video.
- Notifications — to alert you to incoming and missed calls.
- Display over other apps — for the optional after-call popup (quick call-back,
quick reply, save number) shown when a call ends. You turn this on in Settings.
This information is processed entirely on your device. It is not uploaded, backed up to us, or shared. Access to these features is requested only when needed and, where Android requires it, only after you grant permission.
Advertising
The app is supported by ads served through Google AdMob (Google's mobile ads service). When ads are enabled, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process:
- Your device's Advertising ID and general device information, used to serve
and measure ads.
- Approximate, coarse signals used by the ad network for ad relevance.
In the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland, the app shows a consent form (Google's User Messaging Platform) before any ad loads, and ads respect your choice. You can reset or limit ad personalization at any time in your device settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads).
Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not share your contacts, call history, or messages with advertisers or
anyone else.
- We do not read or upload your text messages.
- We do not run our own analytics server or build user profiles.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Because the app keeps your data on your own device, you are always in control: uninstalling the app removes the app's access and its locally stored settings. You can manage the Advertising ID and ad personalization in your Android settings. For any privacy request or question, contact us at the email below.
Children
The app is intended for a general audience aged 13 and older. It is not directed at children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and post the revised version at the same URL.
